Compassion Games 2012 : Mission #1

“Action speaks louder than words – but not nearly as often.” –Anonymous

To begin, please MINDFULLY complete two or three very small acts of anonymous kindness. They may be something you plan or they may come upon you spontaneously. They just need to be small, perhaps even seemingly insignificant. The key here is that you put your full self into completing them.

The hoped-for result is twofold. One, that when performing acts of kindness in the context of the Compassion Games you do so from the inside out and not as an after-thought. And two, to help you consider how potentially significant acts of kindness really are, especially those that seem small.

In choosing your acts, try to have at least one be something that allows you to see its result in some way. For instance, putting away a shopping cart left in a parking lot is a very thoughtful small act of kindness, but you may not get to see any positive result from it. If you are so inclined, please complete these kinds of acts, but try to find at least one in which you get to see a positive result, remembering to keep yourself anonymous.

If it helps, substitute the word “simple” for the word “small” and mindfully complete a couple of simple acts of kindness.
