Inspiration #1 – Kindness Blessings

“On Blessing”

The quote I used at the beginning of this week’s assignment is the last sentence of the first full paragraph on page 5 in the Introduction. Inspiration #1So touched am I by that paragraph that I highlighted the whole thing. For the sake of inspiration, I encourage you to go back to your book and read it again. It sums up my intention for this class, which is to help us recognize and act on the ordinary things in our lives.

It’s also why I recommend you start a “Blessings Journal.” So simple are some of the lovely things we encounter, or even the lovely things we do, that we’ve learned to overlook them. Writing them down helps their impact be even greater, like highlighting an entire paragraph, perhaps.

For an additional dose of inspiration, I direct you to this link on Dr. Remen’s website. There, at the bottom, you can click on a button that allows you to hear her voice. I encourage you to do so.
