Being Alone Together
“We grow toward true self in a space where our growth is not driven by external demands but drawn forward, by love, into our own best possibilities.”
Reading: Read Chapter Four. Read slowly and allow your mind to move toward stories in your life triggered by the reading. Pay attention to these stories, trusting they have something important to teach you. If you find you are coming to your reading as a chore, put the book aside for the time being and choose something more meaningful instead.
Kind Action: Practice presence, as Parker describes on pages 60-61. Do this mindfully with a chosen person or with yourself, focusing on the soul and not on some problem you think needs to be solved.
Wholeness Journal: Using page 56 as a guide, write down the spaces in your life that invite your intellect, emotions, will and ego to emerge. Having done that, write about any spaces in your life that allow your soul to emerge.
