(I’m once again facilitating the Secret Agent of Compassion activity, part of the annual Compassion Games. I’ll be posting the missions here each day for the next 11 days for Kind Living supporters to see. This is today’s! –A)
Or should I say, “Good Morning Ambassadors of Compassion!”
That’s right, agents, this year we, the members of the International Kindness Team, the secrets agent of compassion, are stepping up our game to become AMBASSADORS of compassion.
What’s an ambassador, you say? It’s a person who promotes an activity or an idea. And as ambassadors of compassion during the Compassion Games, we are charged with promoting care, concern, warmth, and love throughout our lives. Ready to do it?
Your mission today, ambassadors, should you choose to accept it, is to identify a power source that provides you with compassionate energy. Is it a religious figure like the Dalai Lama or Pope Francis? Is it a particular book or movie? A friend or colleague, or maybe a favorite teacher? Is it a type of action, like meditation, yoga, or running? Whatever you identify as that power source, use it today to energize yourself to complete an act of care, concern, warmth, or love for someone else.
In short, use your external source of compassionate energy to energize someone else, you being the conduit.
Should your actions or those of any of the International Kindness Team be exposed, it will increase the positive ripple effect of creating more care in the world. Thus, we at IKT HQ request that you report your activities on the Compassion Map.
Good luck, agents, I mean, ambassadors.
(For agents/ambassadors working with children, I suggest helping them identify people who support them. Show how these people are like the power stations that bring electricity to power important things in their lives, but these people bring the children a different kind of power through care, concern, warmth, and love. For the mission part, see if you can help them understand how to perform an act of kindness for someone they know that is inspired by one of the people that “empower” them.)
