27 May – 02 June – Daily Haiku

Each day in 2020, I’m adapting that day’s entry from the book “365 Tao: Daily Meditations” into a haiku. I’m doing this, though, following the structure of “Blackout Poetry.” I darken the words I’m not using and highlight those I am, thus allowing my haiku to emerge from the page. At the end of each seven day period, I post the previous seven as a string of haikus.

May 27 – June 2:

The heart translation.
Human being believer.
Within the sincere.

Mysterious life.
You must engage your next step.
Turn to mark progress.

Beyond right and wrong,
serve the higher principle.
The greater wisdom.

The actual time.
Listen, imagine, and look.
Immense meaning now.

Sleep with no worry.
Head to pillow, go to sleep.
Shifting what is real.

Solution within.
Remember one another
to reach that pure self.

One body and mind
maintaining shape and features.
Reach beyond thought. Soul.
