18 Mar – 24 Mar 2020 – Daily Haiku

Each day in 2020, I’m adapting that day’s entry from the book “365 Tao: Daily Meditations” into a haiku. I’m doing this, though, following the structure of “Blackout Poetry.” I darken the words I’m not using and highlight those I am, thus allowing my haiku to emerge from the page. At the end of each seven day period, I post the previous seven as a string of haikus.

March 18-24:

Your holiest gifts
accept your inner nature.
Regret negated.

This day, a moment.
Its own pattern of movement.
The breath of nature.

The glorious spring.
Its appearing principle.
To a new budding.

Life, my fashioned womb.
Understand its direction,
sustain wise power.

We are harmony.
The universal music.
Attune in rhythm.

Happy candescence
when we welcome anyone.
Walk. Walk the path. Walk.

Weave experience.
Not rational, not learned.
Beyond intellect.
